LASIK > The LASIK Procedure
15 Minutes That Will Change Your Life

Today there’s a lasting alternative to your less-than-perfect vision:, known as LASIK (laser in- situ keratomileusis) After careful pre-operative screenings, the LASIK procedure is completed in less than 15 minutes per eye.

The procedure is designed to improve your vision so you can reduce – or even eliminate– your dependence on contact lenses or glasses.

In fact, more than 98% of our LASIK patients see 20/40 without correction, and over 96% have 20/20 vision or better.

  • No make-up, perfume, hair spray or after shave is permitted
  • Anesthetic and anti-biotic drops will be administered to your eyes.

  2. Then he gently lifts the flap so he can treat the cornea.
  3. Using the VISX Star S4 IR laser with ActiveTrak™ Dr. Wasserman reshapes the curvature of your cornea to

  5. Dr. Wasserman returns the flap to its original position, and closely monitors each eye to ensure the flap heals
